Facility Management: The Key to Achieving Sustainability, Health and Safety

Tuesday 26 May

10:00 am – 12:00 pm | VERDI Room – Hall 21

During the round table, we will therefore examine how organisations are tackling energy efficiency and strict emissions control to reduce their carbon footprint, combining the transition to clean energy sources with the optimisation and sustainability of operating costs.

However, this is only the first step, albeit a fundamental one. We will therefore analyse the approaches and strategies that Facility Managers and players in the FM market are implementing to ensure a healthy and safe working environment, as well as a comfortable and productive one.

“FROM REGULATIONS TO BEHAVIOUR: WHEN TRAINING BECOMES TRULY EFFECTIVE”

Wednesday 27 May

09:30 – 11:30 | VERDI Room – Hall 21

Measuring effectiveness means understanding what works, what needs improving and where to take action, making training a strategic, measurable and effective tool for reducing risks and building a genuine safety culture. The topic will be explored both from a regulatory perspective, to clarify what is currently required of organisations, and from a behavioural perspective. The human factor, compliance and companies will come together to assess the real impact of training.
It will be an opportunity to challenge established models, engage with those who are already exploring new approaches, and gain practical insights to transform training into a tool that makes a real difference.

Through contributions from experts and the presentation of case studies and experiences, it will analyse the main international reference frameworks, with the aim of facilitating a comparison of regulatory, technical and organisational approaches. The criteria for proper risk assessment, the adaptation of existing machinery and the integration of safety measures throughout the entire life cycle of the machine will also be discussed.

From reporting to prevention: how to activate the real driving force behind safety

Thursday 28 May

2.30 pm – 4.30 pm | VERDI Room – Hall 21

The event “From reporting to prevention: how to activate the real driving force behind safety” has been organised with the aim of rethinking the role of near misses as a strategic lever for prevention, moving beyond a purely formal view of reporting. Through the contribution of the HEST network – a network of HSE professionals who share practical experiences and operational solutions – the session proposes a journey from a culture of reporting to organisations’ ability to learn and bring about real change.
